Welcome

The aim of the organisation is to provide a voice to those who live - and wish to continue to live - in Sliema.

Whats On shows activities likely to interest Sliema residents - please forward items for inclusion and check back often.

SRA seeks to stimulate public debate through topical Press Releases. We also intend to help residents address local issues by means of targeted Nuisance Reports which are researched. presented and escalated with the relevant authorities. Press releases and reports are archived and available for viewing in SRA Records

Original material is given under the Local Environment menu such as our air pollution monitoring commentary and 'To be or not to be'.

Development of the last open area in Sliema, which may increase the town's population by 10% and put 100s more cars on already clogged roads, is covered in a Case Study.  It seems that as the 'Iron Curtain' came down across Europe, the 'Concrete Curtain' of Sliema went up shutting out the sun and imprisoning local inhabitants in a perpetual building site...

The latest planning applications for Sliema are added online each weekend under Local Planning so that interested parties are able to participate in the proper consultation process.

With the launch of this website (kindly sponsored by Alert Communications), the SRA has moved email address to info@sra.org.mt

SRA aims to be inclusive and welcomes the views of all Sliema residents (emails may be submitted in Maltese or English as preferred).
