Objections

SRA Policy on Planning Applications

SRA intends to routinely object to the certain categories of development and to engender public awareness of such developments through all reasonable means.  Applications that are objectionable to SRA are:

• developments which further increase the population density of Sliema 
• developments which will add further stress on the local environment
• developments which eliminate existing gardens and open enclaves
• developments which mar the existing character of Sliema &/or NHLP policies

Only the final item of our policy is subjective as there generally accepted international opinions on landscaping principles and the value of preserving traditional streetscapes.
