 19th June 2010 -SRA questions the priorities set by the Sliema Local Council, where it goes ahead with the funding of fairy lights and shelves a much needed traffic management plan. Click here to read original press release.

 


 

28th May 2010-SRA demands the right of reply over an erroneous reporting by PBS about SRA's membership. It also expresses it dismay to Mr Nikki Dimech's, Sliema Mayor, submissive and irresponsible comments about the issue of car cades and public niusance. Click here for press release.

 


 

27th May 2010 - The Sliema Residents' Association is requesting the Commissioner of Police and the relevant authorities to take the necessary actions to stop and control car cades due to nuisance and increased road hazards. Click here for full press release.

 

 


 

28th April 2010 - Joint press release by SRA, FAA and QTRA entitled "NGOs question MEPA's town planning logic" defies the planning logic behind the local planning authority. 19th April 2010 - Press Release issued by SRA voicing concern at MEPA's continuous infringement of its NHLP of 2006 as regards to increasing housing density. SRA is also questioning the reason why enclaves in Sliema are not yet being protected. All these issues are being raised in the eve of MEPA's meeting which will decide the fate of a 400 square meter garden in Sliema proposed to be developed into a block of apartments.
