Volunteering

SRA has identified the following roles and vacancies; anyone with time to assist is urged to contact SRA and offer support:

  • Parish contacts to help co-ordinate SRA activities
  • Newspaper readers and media watchers
  • Researchers to assess public information on the MEPA website and newspapers
  • Retired persons with time to attend MEPA committee hearings and appeals so as to note the discussions and decisions delivered
  • People able to visit MEPA offices on weekday mornings to review plans of new developments which are of concern
  • Historians with articles or lectures highlighting the heritage value of Sliema
  • Students to conduct projects modelling the population and development trends of Sliema
  • A legal advisor whether practising or retired
  • A local architect willing to advise SRA
  • Health professionals who can provide informed opinions on health issues affecting Sliema
  • Any other helper who may wish to help out in any other way not mentioned above such as translations or administrative work
